Hopefully not, hopefully people can learn to get along, and make sure everyone has enough resources to live well. But there’s a saying “the one thing we learn from history, is that we never learn from history”, so who knows what people will do in the future.

Wars have been common throughout human history, and in modern history too. There will no doubt be more wars, its whether its a world war or not.

One of the reasons that world war 1 was a world war was that lots of countrys had signed mutual defense agreements, which means if one goes to war the other has to go to war as well. Once war broke out there was a domino effect that dragged many countrys in. We have to avoid that sort of politics to prevent one!

Also, now that many countrys have nuclear weapons it is unclear if two countrys that have them will go to war with each other. If they do they both risk mutual annihilation.
