There are lots of types of cancer, many of them are very treatable to the point where the medicine is not far off a cure. Research improves the chances of surviving caner all the time so i think one day yes.

Personally I don’t think so because cancer isn’t just one disease, sorry :-(. There are so many bits of DNA that can get mutated and lead to cancer, I don’t think you’d be able to prevent them all. However, many of the treatments that you can get in hospital now are very effective. The earlier you diagnosis cancer, the better the chance of getting rid of the cells that are dividing uncontrollably which lead to getting cancer.

The process which causes is cancer is also important for evolution and how life evolves, so unfortunately I think it is a by-product of it. However, hopefully we can get to a situation where we discover the cancer in someone almost immediately, treat it efficiently and cure the patient.
