Question: why does cow poo stink!!!!!!!

All poo smells because the bugs in the gut that help to break down the food make certain compounds that smell. These compounds usually have sulphur in them and this gives them their horrible smell!

Cow poo may smell even worse than ours because all they eat is grass. The bacteria in the cow’s gut breaks down the grass and the smell is of decomposing grass.
