• Question: Why can animals speak in human voices? could we ever train them to?

      some animals can already, things like parrots. But they are only repeating sounds they have heard, they’re not making their own sentences.

      There is a bird called the mocking bird which can copy almost any sound you can hear. Here is one making the sounds of a car alarm, chainsaw, camera shutter and more:

      So animals can immiate human voice, but they can’t understand the language behind it.
