      It’s just the grass dying, because it can’t photosynthesise properly.

      The green colour of grass comes from chlorophyll – chlorophyll needs sunlight to provide energy and make food for the plant. If the sun is blocked by your tent, then the grass will start to die and with no green chlorophyll it turns yellow.
