The ‘god particle’ is the recently discovered ‘Higgs Boson’, which is a basic elementary particle in nature. It is very heavy, has no electric charge. It is what gives other particles mass and makes them heavy.

At the moment it is such a new discovery that it has no uses. One day we might find interesting ways to use it though, like making ordinary object heavier or something crazy!
