As I work in a hospital lab where we’re measuring samples every day, I hope that in the future we’ll still be able to provide a good clinical service for patients. There have been lots of cost cuts in the NHS at the moment and some of the hospital labs are being privatised, hopefully this won’t happen to all the labs. I’d like to keep on researching new tests and bringing them into the lab which will help in the diagnosis of patients. As I progress in my career I hope that one day I’ll be able to train future clinical scientists myself!

good question! I’d probably hope to help with fully understanding how frogs stick to things, and under what conditions they will work. This would provide information for future work on how to design what are ‘smart’ adhesives; tapes which can stick and unstick easily, but can also work in wet, dirty or rough conditions.
