• Question: What are your opinions on animal testing?

      I think animal testing is very important for discoveries in medicine. Many important discoveries have happened because of animal testing. However, I don’t agree with it for use in things like cosmetics

      I think animal testing that leads to cures for disease creates more good in the world than bad, however people test make up and psychological problems on intelligent creatures. I do not think this is for the greater good.

      I think animal testing of medicines is important but has to be very well regulated and justified…I don’t think testing of cosmetics is justified – and hasn’t been allowed in this country for over 20 years.

      Hopefully new advances in tissue and organ culture in future might make animal testing redundant. It’s something that I feel very uncomfortable with (we have cats and Guinea Pigs as pets) but if it’s necessary to save human lives then it’s something that we still have to do.
