• Question: People say that vaccines are linked to long-term health problems such as multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and autism. Is that true? :)

      There is no evidence that says this is true, and I do not believe it is true either. So far the few doctors that have claimed there are long term health problems have not based it on evidence, just hunches.

      I think given the amount of research on vaccine safety, this is very unlikely. What we can say for certain is that vaccines have all but elminated some very nasty diseases like Smallpox, Polio, and Diptheria, Tetatanus, etc. Even if there is a slight risk, I think the positives far outweigh the negatives.

      I agree with Simon, there are probably a few extreme cases where this may occur, but the benefits far outweigh the pros.

      Yes I agree with everyone else. The evidence that linked these diseases only looked at a handful of patients and cannot be applied to the general population. I definitely recommend being vaccinated against the diseases stated.

      One of the problems is that it is harder for scientists to prove that something that might coincidentally happen definitely does NOT happen because of vaccination than it is to claim that it does.
