• Question: Is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable?

      Yep I thought it’s a fruit because it has seeds. I think in cooking it’s sometimes considered a vegetable because it’s savoury.

      In a botanical sense, fruit is just a casing for seed dispersal, made from the flowering part of the plant. So that includes fruit we know of traditionally, but also things like runnerbeans, aubergines, and yes, tomatoes.
