• Question: How fer has anyone ever dug into the ground. I heard some Russian ancients dug up to 12 kilometgers into the earth.

      Your right, theres a hole in Russia which is the deep, going to 12,262 metres, which is the deepest hole into the ground. The rocks down there are very difficult to break because of the pressure making them super tough. It takes weeks to build the drill as it goes down (piece by piece), then it can drill for only a sort time before being worn out, then removed.

      Also, I think drilling is even further hindered because the pressure builds up and the hole collapses on itself. Have you ever seen the film ‘The Core’? It’s pretty ridiculous but they have to drill to the core of the Earth to save the world!
