• Question: Do you think we will have an alternative way of making plastics before we run out of crude oil?

      Some scientists are working on a way to make oil out of other things, so if we do run out of oil then we can make more to make into plastic – although it will be a lot more expensive.

      I think we still have many decade before we run out of oil now that fraking is being used to get more, so by then we will probably be able to make it out of plant oil or something similar.

      Alternatives are being looked at all the time. In the meantime, recycling can play a big part in making sure what we have is already enough.
