• Question: DO YOU LIKE FROGS?

      Frogs are pretty cool but I’m a microbiologist who studies microbes. Unfortunately, one microbe, a fungus called Chytrid is killing a lot of frogs at the moment

      In spring and summer there are loads of frogs in the pond in my garden and I love to sit and watch them…they give me a fright sometimes when I’m digging in the garden at this time of year though if I disturb where they are hiding in the undergrowth and they hop out!

      I LOVE frogs, they’re cool, colourful, and very interesting. There are just such a huge variety of them in the world, they’re still discovering new ones all the time. Plus, Kermit the frog is the coolest character in the Muppets.

      Yes, I saw of interesting and colourful frogs when I went on holiday to Costa Rica, I even went to a frog house to see all the different types. Although I don’t know much about them scientifically, so I may have to ask Niall!
