      Some dolphins can make noises like humans, and so can some birds like parrots. However, they usually just repeat certain phrases, and don’t make up their own sentences.

      Language is something only humans can definitely use. Dogs and other animals do communicate through sound but it is far more basic.

      Some scientists believe whales may have a strange language of their own (they communicate through ‘whale songs’), they do have very large brains so it is possible. Other scientists believe that their songs are no more than bird songs.
